Begin your tour Arrive into Delhi Welcome to Vardhman's "Tiger Special
Tours"! On arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's
representative to your hotel. DELHI, the capital of kingdoms and empires is now
a sprawling metropolis with a fascinating blend of the past and the present. It
is a perfect introduction to the composite culture of an ancient land. A window
to the kaleidoscope - that is India. Relax for a while and later proceed on a
city tour of Delhi. OLD DELHI - Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor
Shahjehan, Jama Masjid, one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti
Vana, the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive
past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi. Enjoy the cycle rickshaw ride
from Jama Masjid to Chandni Chowk. NEW DELHI - An extensive sight-seeing
tour of New Delhi would include a Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan
Temple, a modern Hindu Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building
and Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi. Overnight: Hotel
Day 2: Delhi-Kolkata - Sunderban On arrival at Dum Dum airport,
you will be received and transferred to Sunakhali by our representative. On arrival
drive straight to the embarkation jetty for going to Sunderbans. The boat ride
will take around 2 ½ hrs). On arrival transfer to your camp. Evening boat
excursion in the Sunderbans. Overnight : Camp Day 3: Sunderban
Sunderban Spend the day cruising through the creeks looking for
the seven species of kingfishers, including the Brown-winged, Collared and Ruddy
Kingfisher. SUNDERBANS, UNESCO World Heritage Site: Formerly SUNDERBUNDS,
the dense forest of the Sunderbans is one of the largest mangroves in the world
and the only kind with tiger habitat. The forest covers an area of about 10,000
sq.km. of mangrove forest and water (40% of which lies in West Bengal, India and
the rest in Bangladesh). The Sunderbans are a part of the world's largest delta
formed by the rivers Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna. Sunderban got its name from
the predominance of the tree species, locally known as Sundari, because of its
elegant look. The World Heritage Committee of UNESCO inscribed the Sundarbans
in the world Heritage list by a decision taken in its 21st session in December
6, 1997. Tigers reign in the land and Crocodile over the waters along with Sharks.
The Tiger Reserve holding more tigers than any other tiger reserve and as per
latest census the tiger population is 287. Overnight : Camp Day
4: Sunderban The day is spend cruising through the creeks of the Reserve
and in the villages looking for Loten's, Purple and Purple-rumped Sunbirds etc.
Overnight : Camp Day 5: Sunderban- Kolkatta-Gondia Early
morning transfer to Howrah Railway station in Kolkatta to board night train for
Gondia. Overnight : Train Day 6 : Arrive Gondia - Kanha National
Park Arrive Gondia Railway station in the morning. On arrival transfer
by our representative to Kanha National park. Check in to the hotel on arrival.
Day free for orientation. Overnight: Hotel Day 7: Kanha National
Park Morning drive to Kanha National Park - a tiger reserve that extends
over 1945 sq. km. of undulating country in Madhya Pradesh. Evening at leisure.
A full day game viewing inside the jungle. (Two safaris) Overnight: Hotel
Day 8: Kanha National park - Bandhavgarh National Park This morning
after breakfast drive to Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh. Check into
your hotel upon arrival. Evening jungle excursion to explore the wildlife,
flora and fauna within the national park. Overnight: Hotel Day
9: Bandhavgarh National Park Bandhavgarh National Park: It is one of the
most exotic wildlife destinations in India. An erstwhile game reserve of the royal
family of Rewa, Bandhavgarh got recognition as a wildlife park in 1968, when the
Maharaja of Rewa bequeathed the park to the Government. Initially the park stretched
to 105.40-sq-kms in area, with 25 resident tigers forming its prime attraction.
Visiting Bandhavgarh and trailing tigers on Elephant Safari or cutting through
the jungle tracks in a jeep (Jeep Safari) promises to give you one of the best
wildlife experiences in the state. A full day game viewing inside the jungle.
(Two safaris) Overnight: Hotel Day 10: Bandhavgarh National Park
- Katni -Agra Morning free to visit the Bandhavgarh National Park. Afternoon
transfer to Katni Railway station to board overnight train to Agra. Overnight
: Train Day 11: Arrive Agra-Fatehpur-Sikri-Bharatpur Arrive Agra
railway station and on arrival transfer to a hotel for freshen-up. Later visit
Taj Mahal (Closed on every Friday) & Agra Fort. After lunch depart for Bharatpur
enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. Upon arrival, check into your hotel for an overnight
stay. Overnight: Hotel Day 12: Bharatpur Morning leave for
Full day birding in the Sanctuary. Bharat Pur Wildlife Sanctuary: Originally
a duck shooting preserve of Maharaja Suraj Mull of Bharatpur, the Bharatpur Bird
Sanctuary of Rajasthan was declared a national park in 1982. Later, in 1985, it
was listed as a World Heritage site by Unesco. At present, the Rajasthan Keoladeo
Ghana National Park serves as one of the chief breeding and feed grounds for the
birds around the world. The Bharat Pur Wildlife Sanctuary, of Rajasthan, houses
approximately 300 species of birds. Amongst them, the most prominent ones are
Painted Storks, Open and Spoon Bills, Egrets, Cormorants, White Ibis, Jacanas,
While Harriers, Fishing Eagles, Pied Kingfisher, etc. However, the most awaited
species of birds is the Siberian Crane. Apart from Iran, India is the only place
where this bird migrates in winter. Bharatpur sanctuary remains open throughout
the year from sunrise to sunset. Overnight: Hotel Day 13 : Bharatpur-
Ranthambore Morning birding in the Sanctuary. Later take train for Sawai
Madhopur. On arrival transfer to your hotel. Afternoon jungle excursion in the
Ranthambhore National Park. Ranthambore National Park: One of the best places
to witness the rich wildlife of India. Situated at the junction of the Aravalli
and Vindhya hill range, the park is spread over an area of approximately 400 sq
km. As far as the origin of the park is concerned, it was declared a wildlife
sanctuary in 1957. Later, in 1981, it was given the status of a National Park.The
Ranthambhore Wildlife Sanctuary of India remains open every year from October
to Mid June. Overnight: Hotel Day 14: Ranthambore Full day

15: Ranthambore-Jaipur After breakfast drive to the beautiful Pink City-
Jaipur. Check into your pre-booked hotel upon arrival. Evening at leisure or you
can visit Choki Dhani Village (Optional). Overnight: Hotel Day 16:
Jaipur- Delhi This morning you will experience the wonders of this magicial
pink city, as you proceed on a tour of Amber fort (optional: Elephant Safari).
Later visit the Jagmandir or the Hall of victory glitterning with mirrors, Maharaja's
City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds
and through the rose pink residential and business areas of Jaipur. In the
noon, drive back to Delhi. Arrive Delhi & transfer to the hotel for overnight
stay. Overnight: Hotel Day 17: Delhi- Corbett National Park
On the day 17 of your tour drive to CORBETT National Park. On the way visit
Ramnagar and look for the fabulous IBISBILL amongst the riverside boulders. Later
proceed for an afternoon to KOSI riverbanks. Rest of the day at leisure.
Jim Corbett National Park used to be just another Himalayan forest until
in 1936 it was demarcated as a reserve area by the British Government. Jim Corbett
Park is spread over 520 sq kms and is covered with huge stretches of Savannah
type grasslands and Sal forests. In 1957 this place was renamed as Jim Corbett
National Park from Hailey national Park. It was declared as an almost exclusive
Tiger Reserve on 1st April 1973 with the help of World Wildlife Fund. Since the
place is situated on the lower Himalayan belt of vegetation, it is an eco-tourism
spot too. Overnight: Hotel/Camp Day 18: Corbet National Park.
